Vibe-coding should be called vibe-prototyping

Vibe-coding should be called vibe-prototyping.

It’s a superpower for building and testing things quickly without the need for technical know-how. Incredible.

It is not (at least currently) a replacement for the ability to actually shape, design, and feedback on the technical choices a product requires.

You should prototype more quickly and effectively than ever before, but you still need technical taste in order to deliver the product reliably so that you can keep building on it. I do think one day this will change… today is not that day 🤣

Think of vibe-coding like a wedding planner.
The best wedding planner in the world.

You can discuss endless ideas, they can draw them out, simulate them, and get you understanding much more of what you want from your perfect day.

But, if you end up marrying the wedding planner, something went horribly wrong…
